Good communications are essential to a successful flight. The Basics
- AVCOMM�s DX-AC6PA panel mount intercom is designed to provide the highest level of audio performance. The Quick Install Kit makes it a snap for almost anyone to install the DX-AC6PA without the tedious time consuming task of soldering individual connectors. It is designed with a compact aluminum case that fits virtually anywhere on the panel.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
The pilot and co-pilot jacks are prewired with reinforced tensile copper wiring with spiral shielding and a polyurethane cover. The harness and intercom plug in easily with a simple DB25 connector. Preparation of the instrument panel is simplified with a transparent template included in the kit. Color coded wiring diagram and simple straightforward instructions make it possible to be flying in two hours or less. Rugged construction is built to withstand extreme conditions common in open or closed cockpit aircraft and features a solid extruded aluminum framework which has the added benefit of dramatically reducing radio frequency interference (RFI). Thermoplastic Elastomer gaskets seal out moisture and dust for trouble free performance. Inside, a streamlined circuit board features ceramic hybrid IC chips for high reliability. The DX-AC6PA is compatible with either 12 or 28 volt electrical systems and is designed for use with up to six headsets so you can start with the pilot and co-pilot positions and add passenger positions as they are needed.

THE DETAILS:
Communication features include a two stage LED that displays a green light when the power is on and yellow during radio transmission making a �stuck mic� easy to spot. The voice-activated squelch circuit (VOX) adjusts to a broad range of noise environments or can be set for a continuous open-mic condition. Pilot isolate (ISO) provides exclusive pilot communications with the ATC, pilot priority PTT allows the pilot to override co-pilot transmissions, and the �fail-safe� feature supplies a direct connection to the aircraft radio in case the power supply to the intercom is disrupted. With the optional audio panel, a music-in jack provides in-flight entertainment,
automatically muting during intercom or radio activity. Add an audio recorder and with the record out feature, you can record ATC transmissions or cockpit conversations. Full three-year factory warranty.

-Power on-off/Fail Safe Switch The smooth operating toggle switch placed in the on position provides power from selected power source (external or battery).Toggle to aft position removes power from intercom and provides fail safe operation by routing transmit and receive audio directly to headset.
-Battery Select Switch is used when indicator light pulsates red to signal low battery - After switching to new battery indicator light will return to pulsating green. Low battery should be replaced as soon as possible.
-Power/Battery Indicator Light illuminates constant green when using external power operation. pulsating green for internal battery operation and pulsating red for low internal battery.
-Pilot and Co-pilot Jacks will accept the standard plugs (PJ-055 headset and PJ-068 microphone) from any general aviation headset and the microphone plug from a portable P44 Switch like DCC Model C1O-15.
-A Front Panel Push-To-Talk Button is provided for pilot transmissions when a yoke mounted PU or a portable PU Switch is not used.
-Volume Control Knob for setting system volume level. Individual's headset level can be set with headset volume controls.
-Squelch Control Knob for setting VOX threshold for voice activation of intercom for pilot and copilot positions. VOX threshold for passengers is set from Model 2OOEX Expansion Module.
-Auxiliary Input Jack will accept signals from devices such as portable CD and tape players. Aux in will mute with radio reception.
-Auxiliary Output Jack will provide line level signal for driving CVRs, tape recorders or other such devices.
-External Power Input Jack will accept plug from power cord supplied for use with external power.
-Expansion Jack will accept the plug of the extension cord supplied with Model 2OOEX Expansion Module to expand the system to a four place and six place system.
-Battery Powered by one of two available batteries. When one battery begins to drain (after approx. 40 hrs.) simply switch to second battery using battery select switch for an additional 40 hrs. of intercom use.
-Battery Cover Plate is easily removed for replacing batteries by simply unscrewing the thumb nut and replacing the batteries.
